The South Okanagan’s U16 Pinnacle girls soccer club found the mark Sunday with a convincing 3-1 win against Vernon at King’s Park. Vernon was put on their heals early when Megan Levinski scored on the first possession and then again a few minutes later with a solid shot inside the 18, putting the Pinnacles up 2-0.
Vernon managed a lone goal near the end of the half, but Kylaina Afonso put the game away in the second with a sharp angle free kick outside the left edge of the box. Having had several near wins all season, the victory was well deserved and hard earned.
