U14 Boys Remain Undefeated

In TOYSL U14 Boys league play on Sunday, Skaha Meadows SOYSA Pinnacles played to a 1 to 1 draw with Vernon United in a game played in Summerland. The first half was fairly evenly played. SOYSA opened the scoring after Connor Schenkey found Josh Manning on a through ball with Josh putting the ball in the Vernon goal from just outside the 6 yard box. Early in the second half Vernon pressed the attack and were eventually rewarded with a goal from just inside the 18. From that point on, SOYSA dominated much of the play. The Pinnacles had several opportunities to break the deadlock the best coming from the foot of Josh Manning. However his shot hit the bar with about 3 minutes to play. Spencer Dunstan-Adams made a great save on a second half free kick in the Pinnacles goal.
Notable players for the Pinnacles were defender Riley Brosseuk, stopper Gavin Hurd, striker Josh Manning, and midfielders Connor Schenkey, Rico Patrocinio and Quin Erzinger. Skaha Meadows SOYSA Pinnacles play a pair of games this coming weekend with an exhibition game at Kings Park 3 at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday and a league match in Kamloops on Sunday.
