U12 Boys Win Silver

The SOYSA Pinnacles Under 12 Boys won silver at the recent Ice Breaker Soccer Tournament in Winfield. The Pinnacles went through the round robin winning by scores of 5-0, 7-1 and 6-1 against 3 different Kelowna United Teams. In the semi final they won 6-2 over Kelowna United 1. In the Gold Medal game the Pinnacles were down 2-0 and battled back to tie the game and lost in penalty kicks by a score of 3-2. Providing offense for the Pinnacles were James Fraser and Graham Millar with 7 goals each, Xavier Arajuo with 4, Bret Depner and Steven Kohlhauser with 3 and Jackson Dematos and Kieran Braid with one each. Colton Ashton and Depner scored in penalty kicks. James Fraser received the Golden Boot for top scorer and MVP’s for the tournament went to Fraser, Dematos and Depner.
