Head Coach

Ray Hintz has had an extensive and successful history coaching adults and children in Penticton for the past 17 years. His previous accomplishments include coaching the Penticton Pinnacles Mens team for 7 years and leading them to three triple crown titles, as well as coaching the U-16 and U-18 Pinnacle Girls to two Provincial ‘B’ Cup gold medals. Ray has also coached the Penticton Pinnacles in the PCSL, and has coached womens teams as well for several years. He has also enjoyed running a successful soccer camp in South Okanagan for the past 5 years, working with children from 3 to 18 years old. Ray currently holds a CCS license and is working towards obtaining the next coaching level in the CSA. Ray’s passion and dedication for the game of soccer has been proven by his constant presence in the local soccer association, as he has always strived to keep soccer moving forward in Penticton and the rest of the South Okanagan.

Ray’s mission statement as Head Coach of SOYSA :

1. To promote teamwork, fun and comradery for all players, coaches, and parents alike . We will accomplish this with help of volunteers, parents, Technical Committee, and Board of Directors, all working together with the same goal.
2. To facilitate the education of coaches and players in the skill of soccer. With the help of the Technical Committee, Board of Directors, and utilizing BC Soccer, CSA, FIFA guidelines, we will develop our kids and make sure they have greater enjoyment and knowledge of the game in the future .
3. To bring to the right people’s attention the needs of our organization in order that we may maximize the development of our children and soccer in the South Okanagan.
