22. What if there is lightning?

  • If lightning is spotted in your area, play will stop for a maximum of 10 minutes. If lightning is spotted down the valley from you, play will stop for a maximum of 5 minutes. If this happens during a Youth game, whatever time is left before the next scheduled game, will be played out and counted as a full game.

23. If a Youth game has to be rescheduled, the Coach cancelling the game must:

  • Call the Coach of the other team
  • Call the Referee Scheduler in the town that was hosting the game and advise
  • Call the Administrator and advise
  • Make up games should then be rescheduled on one of the teams practice nights or maybe a Friday night. This is due to the fact that fields are well booked on Saturdays.
  • Once confirmation is made of rescheduling of a game, the Referee Scheduler must be notified and the Administrator.
  • Cancellation of any game must have a valid reason
  • If the Team that cancelled the game cannot make up the game – this team will be given a loss – score will be reflected as 1 – 0 game
