Pinnacle U16-Girls 2-0 victory over Kamloops

Okanagan’s Pinnacle U16-Girls traveled to Kamloops on Sunday and came home with a sound 2-0 victory. The Pinnacles dominated the game with strong team and defense play. After several earlier chances by the Pinnacles, Alana Parker scored 20 minutes in when her cross caromed off an opposing player in a scramble in front the Kamloops net. Late in the half the Pinnacles went ahead by two when mid-fielder Chelsey Beierle scored on a rebound. Though Kamloops fought hard to get back in the game the Pinnacles defense, backed by Goalie Alida Wiens, preserved the shutout for Penticton.
